Staff Responsibilities

The roles in the Training Unit are as specified:

Head of Unit/Training Manager (1): Oversees the operations of the unit ranging from planning, designing and execution of training activities and other oversight functions. 

Facilitators (Indefinite – to be outsourced both locally and outside the university): 

    • Deliver training courses on various ICT topics (e.g., software applications, hardware, networking, cybersecurity, project management etc. 
    • Develop training materials and resources. 
    • Provide technical support to trainees. 
    • Conduct training needs assessments.

    Training Administrator(1): 

    • Handles training logistics (scheduling, room booking, equipment) 
    • Manages trainee records and certifications. 
    • Provides administrative support to the training team  

    Learning Management System (LMS) Support Officer (1): 

    • Manages the unit’s LMS platform. 
    • Develops and uploads  training content. iii Provides technical support for LMS users
